Accelerated Reader will be part of your child’s reading grade. We have developed a grading scale, and each quarter your child will be awarded a letter grade for accelerated reader.  In fourth grade, your child will be given an individualized reading goal. Each quarter they will receive a personalized bookmark with their reading goal as well as their ZPD (zone of proximal development). Students will need to read books within their ZPD in order to earn their required accelerated reading points for each quarter.

*Please remember that the more your child reads, the better they will become at reading.
